About molecular Targeted Molecular Therapy 

Targeted molecular therapy is a type of personalized medical therapy designed to treat cancer by interrupting unique molecular abnormalities that drive cancer growth. It consists of drugs or other substances that block the growth and spread of cancer by interfering with specific molecules ("molecular targets") that are involved in the growth, progression, and spread of cancer. Is the side effects rate lower in the molecular Targeted Therapy than chemotherapy? 

Yes. As the molecular Targeted Therapy only targets the cells which are affected with tumor chemotherapy affects all the cells in the body whether the cells are affected with tumor or not. This is the reason chemotherapy results in hair loss, diarrhea, vomiting, etc. Targeted Therapy only results in symptoms like fatigue or diarrhea. 

What is the difference between hormonal and immunotherapy treatment? 

Hormonal treatment

 Hormone therapy is a type of cancer treatment that slows or stops the growth of cancer that uses hormones to grow. Cancers like Breast Cancer, ovary Cancer in females are due to the hormones. In order to cure this hormonal treatment is necessary. It is similar for males in the case of testicular cancer. 

Immunotherapy treatment

It has come up in the last few years. It works by making your body realize that the cells affected by a tumor are not your own cells. They are foreign cells. This treatment is really effective. It is rare as not many people know about it but it has cured many people and has increased the life span from a few months to almost 5-6 years. 

Also, many ridiculous things are going on in the name of immunotherapy treatment. And so, to stop this, awareness about immunotherapy is necessary.  

What is lung cancer? What is the treatment of lung cancer? 

Lung cancer begins in the lungs. It often occurs in people who smoke.

Two major types of lung cancer are non-small cell lung cancer and small cell lung cancer. Causes of lung cancer include smoking, second-hand smoke, exposure to certain toxins, and family history.

Every cancer has 4 stages. The first stage is where the amount of tumor is less and easily curable. In the second stage, cancer cure is possible by surgery and if needed chemotherapy also. In the third stage, surgeries are not necessary. Chemotherapy and radiation alone can help in the cure. Whereas in stage 4, in some cases the lung Cancer is not curable but the doctors can try to just increase the lifespan. Most of the cases are curable but some cases are not curable. Earlier with the help of chemotherapy, the lifespan of patients just increased to a maximum of 1 year and if lucky enough then one and half years. Now with the help of immunotherapy, the life span can be increased to almost 4-5 years. 

How is immunotherapy given? 

Immunotherapy medications can be given into a vein (intravenously), through the mouth (oral), an injection, under the skin (subcutaneous), or into a muscle (intramuscular). It can be given directly into a body cavity to treat a specific site. It is given in a span of 14 or 21 days. 

How does smoking affect lung Cancer? 

Smoking affects all types of Cancers and not just lung cancer. Smoking affects the DNA in the body. Consuming cigarettes at the time of cancer can result in fewer chances of recovery, and an increase in toxicity. 

Cancers which are addicted to genes 

This mainly includes Breast Cancer and ovarian Cancer. This is mainly due to the presence of two genes; BRCA 1 and BRCA 2. 

BRCA1 (BReast CAncer gene 1) and BRCA2 (BReast CAncer gene 2) are genes that produce proteins that help in repairing damaged DNA. Everyone has two copies of each of these genes—one copy inherited from each parent. BRCA1 and BRCA2 are sometimes called tumor suppressor genes because.  When they have certain changes harmful or pathogenic variants of cancer can develop.

Right now he is dealing with three cases of BRCA. One of them is a girl whose mother, and grandmother had breast cancer so she was so sure that she would have breast cancer too. So in order to prevent this from the future generation, regular checkups of BRCA is necessary.

This is a very rare type of cancer. At first, the biopsy results might not be that clear. It is an underline blood cancer where there are no symptoms other than skin rashes. It can occur not just in cancer but with any type of disease. This is very rare so it's not that common. 

How do people deal with the side effects after the treatment? 

Chemotherapy does have side effects like diarrhea, vomiting which can be better managed now than 10 or 15 years back. Cancer itself is bad so the side effects are nothing in front of it. To cure the side effects, doctors give medicines to the patients which help them in curing.

What is Ewing Sarcoma?

It occurs in the age group of 15-20 affecting mostly teens. Cancer mostly occurs in bones. It is highly curable. 

The exact cause of Ewing's sarcoma isn't clear. It isn't inherited, but it can be related to non-inherited changes in specific genes that happen during a person's lifetime. When chromosomes 11 and 12 exchange genetic material, it activates an overgrowth of cells. This may lead to the development of Ewing's sarcoma.

• He talked about the expenses. If one takes a private hospital for treatment the charges are really high but if one takes a government hospital, treatment charges are less but the treatment is not so good. 
• The government should do something to make people aware of cancer. The highest number of cervical cancer patients is from India. We do have the vaccination to prevent cervical cancer but still, there are people who do not know about any of these
