مئي 2017ع ۾ اوچتو منهنجي ڀائٽي کي تيزابيت جي تڪليف ٿيڻ لڳي. اسان ان کي سنجيده نه ورتو. پر جون جي وچ کان، هن کي سخت پوئتي درد شروع ڪيو. هن پنهنجي بک پڻ وڃائي ڇڏيو. ان وقت، هو گهر کان ڪم ڪري رهيو هو. تنهن ڪري اسان سوچيو ته صحت جا مسئلا شايد هن جي بيڪار طرز زندگي جي سبب هجن. اهي عام گيسٽرتس جي علامات وانگر نظر اچن ٿا. پر جڏهن علامتون وڌي ويون ته هو اسپتال ۾ چيڪ اپ ڪرڻ ويو پر ٽيسٽ جا نتيجا سڀ ٺيڪ هئا. جي يو ايس جي رپورٽ پڻ صاف ٿي وئي. هن ڪجهه تجويز ڪيل دوائون ورتيون ۽ صحتياب ٿي ويو. تنهن ڪري، اسان بلڪل پريشان نه هئاسين.

ايندڙ مسئلا:

پر اهو اتي ختم نه ٿيو. سندس پٺيءَ جو درد وري وڌڻ لڳو. جولاء جي آخر تائين، سندس حالت خراب ٿي وئي. ان وقت اسان ڏاڍا پريشان هئاسين. 5 يا 8 آگسٽ تي کيس اسپتال ۾ داخل ڪيو ويو. امتحان جا سڀ نتيجا صاف آيا. پر اسان هن ڀيري نه روڪيو. هن کي بايوپسي، laparoscopy، ۽ Endoscopy پڻ ۽ نتيجن ۾ ڪينسر جو ڪوبه اشارو نه هو.

ڊاڪٽر پڻ هن جي علامتن جو سبب ڳولڻ کان قاصر هئا. پر انهن چيو ته اهو انهن کي سخت لڳي ٿو. اهو اسان کي ڊڄي ويو پر اسان بغير ڪنهن اشاري جي ڇا ڪري سگهون ٿا. تصويري ٽيڪنڪ ۽ سونوگرافي پڻ لاڳو ڪئي وئي ۽ انهن نتيجن ۾ پڻ ڪينسر جي نشاندهي نه ڪئي وئي.

اسان پريشان هئاسين ڇاڪاڻ ته مقامي ليب جي نتيجن ۾ سرطان جي نشاندهي ڪئي وئي هئي پر ممبئي جي مشهور ليب مان هڪ سرطان جي ڪا نشاني ظاهر نه ڪئي. جيتوڻيڪ اسان پريشان هئاسين، هڪ مشهور پيٿولوجي سينٽر جي ليب جي نتيجي اسان کي آرام ڪيو. ان دوران، مان پاڻ کي علامتن جي باري ۾ تحقيق ڪري رهيو هوس ۽ SRCC يا Signet ring cell carcinoma جي باري ۾ مليو، هڪ نادر روپ جو انتهائي malignant adenocarcinoma.

I also came to know that advanced techniques are needed to detect that, and in India, the availability of these techniques is very rare.

Anyhow, all these procedures were going on until the 26th of August, and he was discharged on that day. Later on, due to the severity of his health condition, on the 16th of September, he went through another round of tests, and again the results didn't indicate cancer. But we were so scared this time, we went to another doctor on the 18th of September, one of the famous doctors in Lower Parel, Mumbai.

بس کيس ڏسڻ ۽ رپورٽن تي هڪ نظر وجهڻ کان پوءِ ڊاڪٽر ٻڌايو ته اها چوٿين اسٽيج هئي پيڪيلاڪ ڪينسر. اسان اڳوڻي اسپتال جي ڊاڪٽرن سان صلاح ڪئي ۽ اتي ئي ڪينسر جو علاج شروع ڪرڻ جو فيصلو ڪيو. سندس ڪيموٿراپي 25 سيپٽمبر کان شروع ٿيڻ واري هئي پر 23 سيپٽمبر تي کيس ساهه کڻڻ ۾ تڪليف ٿيڻ لڳي. ڊاڪٽرن 24 سيپٽمبر کان ڪيموٿراپي شروع ڪرڻ جو فيصلو ڪيو. پر 24 وڳي صبح جو اوچتو هو بيهوش ٿي ويو ۽ کيس ICU ۾ منتقل ڪيو ويو. 25 سيپٽمبر کان پوءِ سندس حالت خراب ٿي وئي.

Metastasis:

All the organs started to fail. The kidney stopped functioning as the creatinine level was very high. He was on life support, and continuous dialysis was ongoing. Doctors told us he may survive for a couple of hours to a couple of days only. We knew the seriousness of his health condition. But who can bear this kind of situation? After some time, he went into a coma. Unfortunately, doctors told us there was no point in keeping him on a ventilator. We decided to remove the life support on October 1st. On October 2nd, at 1:20 am, he passed away.

ناقابل واپسي نقصان:

It took a lot of time to recover from that loss. We were so angry that due to a lack of proper diagnosis, my brother-in-law's condition worsened, and he died. We consulted so many doctors multiple times. We lost all hope for oncologists in our country. When former Chief Minister of Goa, Mr. Manohar Parrikar, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, we hoped he would recover. It would be a ray of hope for people suffering from this. But he died too.

So, that is why I would suggest everyone go through multiple tests when facing this level of severity. Seek consultation from multiple doctors. That can only help you. Don't neglect the symptoms until you are very sure. It has changed my life significantly. I started to read about cancers, the symptoms, and available treatments. I also began researching alternative therapies for cancer treatment. Now, I am preparing for the management entrance examination, and I aim to join the top colleges in our country, which can help me make a further contribution towards cancer patients.
