• Dr Geetha Nagasree is currently working as a Senior Consultant Surgical Oncologiss. She has worked as an Assistant Professor at MNJ Institute of Oncology and Regional Cancer Center; Consultant at Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital and Research Centre – Top Cancer Hospital in Hyderabad; Consultant Oncologist at MNJ Institute of Oncology and Regional Cancer Center, and Consultant Surgical Oncologist at KIMS -the best cancer hospital in Hyderabad. In addition, she has gained substantial experience and expertise while working at some of the best medical centres of the world such as UMCC, Nebraska, University of Illinois Hospitals, and Washington University Hospital. She has hands-on experience in Head and Neck, thyroid, gastrointestinal and gynecological cancer surgeries. However, she has a special interest in all types of women's cancers including cervical, ovarian and breast cancers. Being the first qualified female oncologist in Hyderabad, she is specially trained in surgeries for advanced and recurrent ovarian cancers including HIPEC and extensive peritonectomies. She specializes in breast cancer treatment: Minimally Invasive (Laparoscopic) surgeries, breast cancer surgery and breast conservation surgeries. Dr Geetha has received a commendation as an active member of IGCS – in addition to being elected as an executive on the Board of the Association of Gynaecological Oncologists of India (AGOI). As the best surgical oncologist in Hyderabad, Dr Geetha has several international and national presentations and publications to her credit. She is a regular faculty at national level CMEs. Her special areas of research include personalized medicine for breast cancer and recurrent gynaecological cancers. Apart from being offering breast cancer treatment, Dr Geetha is a famous oncologist in Hyderabad, as she is committed to creating awareness about rising incidences of cancer in women living in the poor and underprivileged areas of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh – and therefore – she regularly conducts health camps. Her objective is to screen poor women en masse for ensuring early detection of cancer. She speaks English, Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada and Hindi.
