A role-model of will-power and perseverance, Mrs. Neera Singh, completed her double-graduation and an M.B.A after her marriage. Further, she studied MSC in Human Nutrition and Dietetics at the age of 50. Heading the Martial Discoord Committee of the Indian Army’s Southern Command in Pune along with being the Honorable Chairperson of several Army Wives Welfare Organizations, she has been serving various educational institutions as the Headmistress and principal. An active participant of several women empowerment programs and personality development workshops, she continues guiding the next generation in carving themselves into better citizens of the country, Join us on the 5th of July 2020 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM as she speaks about her journey of life.

A Healing Circle is a safe environment where one can share their emotions, ideas, feelings, and views, without fear of judgment, bias or mockery. This facilitates a stress-free environment, where the participants can be themselves and express all that they are concerned about or express their gratitude towards the Almighty One or their support group who enables them to stand strong in their battle against Cancer. This is very beneficial as participants get to hear the experiences of others and this may result in a positive takeaway message for the ones who are struggling to make peace with their health condition. This accepting circle facilitates healing, open sharing, and positivity, which boosts one’s mental frame of mind.

“Meditation is a simple way of freeing your mind, forgetting about daily anxieties and focusing on mental relaxation. Going into a meditative state involves learning to become a passive observer of one’s thoughts. It does not mean suppressing them or attempting to force them to disappear.

As Heartfulness explains, meditation is the process of continuous focus on one object for a prolonged period of time. It is a gentle, subtle method which does not require any force or pressure on the mind. The result you gain out of the practice is increased concentration and focus.

Just like developing any other skill, meditation requires regularity of practice. Join us for the meditation session.”

Caring for the caregivers

Mindful Caregiver Education teaches contemplative practices and skill-based approaches for successfully navigating the challenging caregiving environment. Our approach has demonstrated success for improving care through increased well-being for caregiver and the care recipient. Exploring such topics as communication, compassion, and loss, our education incorporates meditation, writing exercises, experiential activities and thought-provoking discussion. Every course is designed to cultivate awareness, compassion and resilience in everyday efforts. Learning to improve our caregiving abilities is an opportunity to become better human beings as a whole. This growth process enhances all our relationships, including with our own selves. Participants can expect to enjoy restful days of self-reflection and connection with like-minded people in shared situations.
