Symptoms and Causes

An early sign of Stomach Cancer can be Pain or burning sensation in the abdomen or indigestion. Some of the other symptoms which occur later can be:

  • A sense of fullness, even after a small meal
  • nausea and/or vomiting
  • loss of appetite and/or weight loss
  • swelling of the abdomen
  • unexplained tiredness or weakness
  • blood in vomit
  • black-colored feces

Some risk factors for getting Stomach Cancer are:

  • A diet high in salty and smoked foods
  • A diet low in fruits and vegetables
  • Family history of stomach cancer
  • Infection with Helicobacter pylori
  • Long-term stomach inflammation
  • Smoking
